Martin D28 Marquis (Adirondack Top)

Description

For sale is my Martin D28 Marquis, from 2014. This is the precursor series to the top of the line Authentic series. It has an Adirondack top, East Indian Rosewood back & sides, with golden era bracing - hand carved, prior to the currently CNC carved golden series bracing recently introduced. This sports the brown cloth covering on the X of the barcing, which only current Authentic braced Martins have. All standard series and non-Authentic guitars sport the white cloth. It's also fitted with an LR Bags iBeam pickup.

This guitar has a cavernous bass and boom, with piano-like trebles. I A/Bd this guitar with a Martin Custom Shop Expert D-28 Authentic 1937 (non-aged, East Indian Rosewood) and a Marting D-28 Authentic Aged (with Madagascar) and it only lost to the Authentic Aged - but that guitar is double the price. It was better sounding than the Custom Shop Expert. The Madagascar came home with me, hence why I am now selling this guitar.

It's a great sounding guitar, and as such, it's been played. So, it has your expected playing love marks, all of which are caputred in the last four pictures.
