Guitar, amp and pedal

A great set up for a beginner or an early learner moving from acoustic to electric. The sale includes: a Glarry GTL guitar, a Shine amplifier and a Behringer pedal.
The guitar has a basswood body, 22 fret maple neck, 2 single coil pickups and a 3 way selector switch with a volume and tone pot. These are great budget entry guitars but often arrive poorly set up. I have rounded the fret ends, added new strings and set the intonation and saddles to the 9.5 inch fretboard radius as required. The guitar plays nicely up the length of the neck and sounds as this type of guitar should: jangly bright sounds on the bridge pick up, warmth from the neck pickup for those bluesy solos and a nice split position for chord work. There is a small chip in the upper rear bout but this does not affect playability or look noticeable when playing.
The amplifier puts out 10 watts maximum, so is perfect for home use and practice even at lower levels. Like most of these small amps, it has a nice clean sound but the distortion button turns it into a harsh, ear disturbing mess! For that reason the sale includes a Behringer pedal which gives more control over the amount of distortion (from crunch to full on distortion) and the EQ controls allow much better control over the sound than the treble, middle and bass on the amp panel. The pedal works from a 9 volt battery (already inserted) or an external 9v supply (not included in this sale). 2 cables are included to connect the guitar, pedal and amp as needed. Together this forms a great little package allowing everything from clean pop through to metal distortion to be practised without breaking the bank or annoying the neighbours! I still need the guitar stand, so that is not in the offer.
