Description
Gibson M3 Standard Made in Trans Red 7th June 1991 in Nashville Plant from serial number.
This is a hard sell - I open the case and that smell is still there - you know the one.
A lot of information and see the pictures for dings, fretware etc.
I would say this is in really good condition - clean glossy not much fretware (see pics). It has 3 visible dings = on upper front horn, and two on back one near the neck and one near the trem cover (again see photos). There is a tiny crack on the middle single coil pick up plastic on bottom side - see photo.
The handle on the case is fine but stitching on the handle has come off and its a bit loose but working fine - could easily be stitched securely.
In the pics is a review of the M3 from Guitarist Magazine 10 year anniversary edition and I am including the magazine in the case. All the hex keys, a locking strap and whammy bar - along with tech spec that describes the pick up switching options are all in the case.
The Floyd is Set up to float with Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinkies 9-46. The action is really low but no chocking as board is very flat. This is the lowest action easiest guitar I have ever played. (see Photo) All who have tried it say the same.
The humbuckers, single coil options and kill switch plus the whammy make this the more versatile of guitars. You either like the look - 80s superstrat vibe, or you hate it - it looked good on me at 30 but I cant carry it off at 60 ;-)
Hopefully between this blurb and the photos you can evaluate if you want it - I am selling way cheaper than a similar one on reverb now - which to be fair looks mint!
It is simply an amazing and rare guitar - if it doesn't sell I can say I tried and hold on to it just for the memories.
