Description
For sale is my near-mint Gibson Les Paul Standard 50s in Tobacco Burst, which I bought new from GuitarGuitar in 2025. The guitar is in excellent condition throughout with no marks, dings, or buckle rash, and has been kept in a smoke-free home.
This is the modern classic spec that nails the vintage 50s vibe with all the playability of a current Gibson, including the sought-after non-weight-relieved body for that full-fat Les Paul tone:
• Mahogany body with maple top — zero weight relief for the ‘full fat’ Les Paul tone
• Mahogany neck with Vintage ’50s profile
• Rosewood fingerboard, 12” radius, 22 medium jumbo frets
• Nut width 1.69” (Graph Tech nut)
• Scale length 24.75”
• BurstBucker 1 (neck) and BurstBucker 2 (bridge) pickups
• Hand-wired controls with Orange Drop capacitors
• 2 volumes, 2 tones and toggle switch
• ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge with stopbar tailpiece
• Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons
• Currently strung with NYXL 9-42s
The sustain on this guitar is exceptional — notes ring out for days. It’s been set up beautifully and plays effortlessly across the whole neck. Tonally it covers everything from sparkling cleans to thick, singing leads, and cleans up superbly from the volume controls. A genuinely perfect guitar.
Comes with the original Gibson hardshell case and all the case candy. Original cardboard shipping boxes can also be provided if needed.
Reluctantly selling as I’ve recently acquired an R9, which has taken its place in the collection. I’d be keeping it otherwise.
Collection from Chertsey. Viewings and trial before purchase are most welcome. Any questions please feel free to ask.
