This is Fender Japan's version of the USA Fender Eric Clapton signature model and is a truly fantastic example that doesn't come up for sale that often in the UK. It has been officially dated by Fender as a 2006 - 2008 CIJ model.

In excellent condition. At a push I would say that for a 20 year old Strat it only has very light wear. The spec is: 22 fret 1 piece 9.5 radius maple neck with V profile with an Alder body.

The pickups are Fender USA Custom Shop (which I didn't install myself so they are possibly after-market). These sound great and are a bit more gritty then the slightly 80's glassy tone that Lace Sensors have.

Gives out the classic Strat tones with the 5 way switch, with the option of adding in the TBX circuit and Mid-Boost to get that amazing rocket-boost that enables the classic Fender sounds to transform into a thicker Humbucker gain sound at the turn of a pot. The Active battery compartment can be seen on the rear.

Stunning guitar with a very resonant wood when unplugged. The neck plays very smoothly and is great for any lead work. I have owned a couple of USA Clapton Strats before and the build quality on this version feels as good if not better to me.

Trem not currently blocked, so the mechanism is available to use (I will include Trem arm). No back-plate but they are cheap to purchase online.

Grab a potential bargain on what is to all intents is essentially a Clapton Strat.
