Description
FENDER PARTSCASTER STRAT – SPERZEL LOCKING TUNERS, LACE SENSOR PICKUPS, GILMOUR MOD
Fender ‘Partscaster' Stratocaster. Fender neck [MIM Player series]. Gold Sperzel locking tuners. Gold Lace Sensor pickups. Gold plated bridge and jackplate. Redburst finish. ‘Gilmour Mod’* switch for extra pickup combinations. Straight neck. Great intonation. Good action. Hardtail [but I have the tremolo arm and I’m happy to unblock the tremolo if you want]. Set up with Thomastik Infeld JS112 flatwounds. Electronics work perfectly. Excellent tuning stability.
Selling for £600, cash or bank transfer on collection from Shepherds Bush / Acton. You are very welcome to try before you buy! Come round, have a cup of tea and take your time checking it out with no pressure to buy. I have amps you can use. I’m selling because I have TOO MANY guitars, and I play hollowbody archtop jazz guitars 99% of the time, and if I play a solidbody, I’m leaning towards a T-type with a humbucker in the neck.
This is a really, really nice strat partscaster. It sounds amazing, and the Gilmour mod gives you even more tonal options. Glassy, stratty sounds if you want to play funky, and fantastic note definition if you want to add drive. It’s beautiful to play – the kind of partscaster that’s an upgrade on factory models. The tuners retail for £115, the pickups for £170, a strat neck costs £250+.
* The ‘Dave Gilmour Mod’ is a second small toggle switch next to the pickup selector switch. When activated, this causes the neck pickup to be ‘always on' - giving an additional 2 switching options: neck & bridge pickups together, and all 3 pickups together. When the toggle switch is off, the classic 5 way Strat switch options remain the same.
