Epiphone Les Paul Custom Prophecy Plus GX – Black Cherry

Description

For sale is my 2015 Epiphone Les Paul Custom Prophecy Plus GX in the stunning Black Cherry finish.

This is one of the older, discontinued high-spec Prophecy models and is a considerable step up from a standard Epiphone Les Paul. Beautiful quilted maple top, Custom-style multi-ply binding, distinctive Prophecy inlays and gold hardware.

The guitar has just had a professional setup, including the frets being re-crowned, and has been fitted with a fresh set of strings. It is playing beautifully and is ready to go.

Specification/features:

* Mahogany Les Paul body
* Quilted maple top in Black Cherry
* Set mahogany neck
* Slim/fast SpeedTaper neck profile
* 24 jumbo frets
* 14” fingerboard radius
* Gibson USA humbuckers
* Push/pull coil splitting
* Gold Grover tuners
* LockTone Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar
* Gold hardware
* Multi-ply body/headstock binding
* Prophecy inlays
* Original fitted Epiphone hard case

The Prophecy GX was designed as a much more modern, performance-orientated take on the Les Paul Custom, with a fast neck, 24 frets and Gibson USA pickups. It has plenty of output and sustain and is excellent for blues rock, classic rock and heavier styles.

The guitar is in very good condition, especially considering its age. There is some normal ageing/tarnishing to the gold hardware, which can be seen in the photographs.

It has just had money spent on it getting it professionally set up and the frets re-crowned, so there should be nothing for the new owner to do other than plug it in and play.

Only selling as I have other guitars and this simply isn’t getting the use it deserves.
