Description
So this is one of the coolest Epiphones I've ever seen.
It was a limited Custom Shop edition from 2025 and I know that not many of them were made. It's not a Black Beauty as such because the top is actually a great translucent black over flamed maple - very cool and very good looking!
In its original state it was without the Bigsby and had open coil pickups with all black hardware.
The Bigsby is a B7 with a Vibramate so is completely reversible if you were mad enough to want to do it. The black tail piece is in the case. The gold pickup covers have also been added at some point. Everything is completely original + the additions.
The Bigsby/Vibramate is a £300 upgrade in its self!
The guitar is in excellent condition throughout and really hasn't seen that much play time in its 20 years. I see one tiny ding on the top when I get it against the light and there is a little ding in the middle pickup cover which you can see. There are no scratches on the top, even when against the light.
On the back there is one mega tiny ding and a few very light scratches near the cavity cover. Again, nothing you can see unless searching against the light.
There are a few light scratches on the underside next to the jack socket but that's pretty much it!
The neck, fretboard and headstock are tip top. There is no fret wear whatsoever.
All hardware is in excellent condition and working perfectly. The Bigsby is pretty much pristine!
All electrics are working perfectly and there are no crackles on the pots.
The guitar has just had a full setup, including a fret level/polish. It is playing perfectly with low and slinky buzz free action. There are guaranteed no issues whatsoever.
Weighs in at 4.4 kgs and the neck is a slim 60's type profile.
Comes in a Stagg hard case which is in good condition and fully functional.
So there you go - a very cool Les Paul. Don't be fooled by that Epiphone logo. This is a quality instrument from the Custom Shop that stands up well against most Gibsons. Properly set up and good to go!
When you buy a guitar from me you will get:
A full setup with a new set of Ernie Ball/D’addario 10's
- Neck relief set as straight as possible (let me know if you need more or less relief to suit your playing style)
- Nut slot height checked and adjusted where necessary.
- Intonation set.
- Action set as low as it will go with minimal buzz.
- Pickup heights adjusted and volumes balanced.
The fretboard cleaned and oiled (rosewood) and the frets properly polished and dressed if necessary. I always look for any high spots on the frets and spot level as part of the polishing process. I will carry out a full fret level where necessary.
Full electrics check and components cleaned.
All hardware checked and adjusted.
A full and thorough clean and polish with quality guitar products.
I have years of experience working on all sorts of guitars and make my living as a Guitar Tech, so you can buy from me in absolute confidence that the guitar you are buying has been described honestly and is looking, playing and sounding it's best! I will not sell a guitar that is not right!
I am happy to post. Shipping by Parcel Force 24 will cost you £25 (UK), this includes packaging costs. Please be aware that this is an uninsured service but it is tracked. You can be confident that I pack guitars very well indeed - the guitar is packed inside the case so that it cannot move and with plenty of support for the neck and headstock. The case is then packed into a large cardboard box and the box is packed and padded out with large bubble wrap and filler so that the guitar is fully protected inside. I am confident that it will be fine even if dropped and have never had a problem. If you do want an insured service please discuss cost with me first.
I am happy to deliver over reasonable distances for petrol costs.
