Encore SARC 902 in Walnut, 335 style (Samick)-1989/90 – TRADES

Description

Stunning machine from the golden era of the Samick factory, loosely based on the Les Paul Artisan in style. Encore branded, away from the more common Samick ‘Wave’ logo with varying reports that there were either 5 or 50 made in total with Encore branding in MOP on the headstock.

Full Nato (eastern mahogany) built, 5 ply laminate on the body, neck and centre block with a rosewood fretboard with ‘snowflake’ inlays. Fully bound body and neck as well as the F holes. Deluxe MOP headstock and classic ‘bell’ TRC. Truss rod also is a ‘nut’ style akin to Gibson (and not a standard ‘hex’ key variant). All parts appear to be all original, including the Jin Ah bridge and tailpiece. Ceramic humbuckers from the factory. One of the silver ‘tone’ covers has been lost but the witches hat knobs are original.

Condition is pretty good for 35 year old machine, the odd wee bump, couple of wee scrapes on the back, crack in the lacquer around the low E tuning post (not structural)

Polished, oiled, restrung and set up with Rotosound Yellow 10s, playing like a dream.

Pickup Falkirk. No case supplied but do have an Epiphone 335 case for an additional 40 quid if bought. May trade, ideally for a synth, a 4 string bass, baritone, Bass VI try me (specific, I know 😊)
