2022 Gibson ES-355 Murphy Ultra Light Aged – Factory Gold Bigsby – Noel Gallagher Appointments

A very rare opportunity to own one of Gibson’s Murphy Lab ES-355s from 2022, with the factory gold Bigsby and the same year/pickups as the highly sought-after Noel Gallagher-style appointments.

This is an amazing guitar and one that took me an absolute age to find. They are rare as hens’ teeth, particularly in this spec

I’m a huge Noel Gallagher fan, and although this guitar obviously doesn’t have the Varitone, I’ve made a few tasteful changes to bring the appointments much closer to the Noel-style ES-355:

Proper vintage stereo truss rod cover fitted (60/early 70’s I believe).
Gold reflector knobs fitted
Vintage-style switch tip fitted.
Same 2022 Murphy Lab era
Same style of Gibson pickups (custombuckers) and appointments.

Original truss rod cover fitted, switch tip and Gibson 59 style black knobs will be included and in the Case. So an easy switch back to how it came from the custom shop Originally.
So, for anyone like me who missed out on the original guitars and doesn’t fancy paying the crazy money they now command, this is about as close as you’re realistically going to get without spending serious money.

Condition

This is a Murphy Lab Ultra Light Aged guitar, so please don’t expect a pristine, untouched finish. There is some additional flaking/wear, particularly around the neck. Personally, I think it looks fantastic and only adds to the character of the guitar - very much in keeping with what the Murphy Lab treatment is all about.

The guitar

It’s an absolutely fantastic ES-355. The fit, finish and feel are superb, and the combination of the cherry finish, gold hardware, Bigsby and aged Murphy Lab appearance is simply stunning.

The guitar has that unmistakable vintage ES-355 look and is a real head-turner. More importantly, it plays and sounds every bit as good as it looks.

I’m genuinely gutted to be selling this one. I’ve recently made another purchase, however, and unfortunately that means this one has to go to fund it.

If you’ve been looking for one of these, you’ll know how difficult they are to find - especially in this particular specification.
