As part of thinning down my guitar collection to just one or two due to largely giving up playing after several decades, I've finally decided to sell my 2012 Gibson Les Paul Studio Standard made in the company's Nashville USA plant. It's finished in the rare Vintage White Nitro Gloss (definitely not bright fridge Arctic White) and it does of course have the proper Trapezoid inlays within the rosewood fingerboard befitting a Standard - some earlier ones just had dots or even 'mini-trapezoids' (very odd looking). As mentioned it is the full gloss nitro - not the thinner/cheaper satin finish that some later Studio models have.

The Studio was basically designed to have the sound and quality of a regular Standard with no compromises other than less visual bling (primarily body and neck binding) but at a significantly cheaper price. Same woods used, same maple cap/mahogany body, same pickups. same electronics, same hardware, same nitrocellulose gloss lacquer, same Nashville production line.

The construction is absolutely faultless and the action is typical of the 2010s era Gibsons, low and buzz free (unlike many earlier high-end Gibsons I've played especially from the1980s) with some of the best fret-end dressings I've seen - no sharp snagging edges anywhere. As can be seen it is in great condition for its age - no cracks/breaks/fretwear etc. Perfectly balanced at 3.6kg. There is just some minor cosmetic yellowing to the rear of the headstock, as shown, from where many years ago the first owner (I'm the second owner) left it resting against some foam - it may well polish out with polishing paste/buffer and I have priced accordingly. Comes complete with its original Gibson USA high quality padded gigbag as shown.

As Gibson's own website shows, the Studio model now starts at around £1,600 and the first white option - a satin-finish Modern - is £1,999, so mine is a pretty good deal. I very much doubt you'll find similar at the price.

Collection is in person please due to value/size/weight and I'm just a few minutes drive north of Bedford - I want to ensure the new owner is fully happy with the guitar. I have a practice amp to demonstrate the guitar working.
