Guitar Lessons

Description

I am a qualified and professional guitarist who has been teaching in schools and colleges for over twenty years. I'm currently a visiting music teacher at a number of leading independent schools in the south west.

My preference is for teaching classical guitar (fingerstyle) but I'm happy to teach other styles such as jazz, pop, folk, rock etc. I have a huge amount of resources and can cater for all musical needs. I also compose and record music for the guitar, so I can advise on composition and music theory. If you want to work towards a grade exam using either rock or classical syllabuses, then that can also be arranged.

If you're interested in learning some of the beautiful Classical/Spanish guitar repertoire such as Lagrima, Romance de Amor, Recuerdos de la Alhambra, or just more well known popular pieces then get in touch. Lessons can be catered from beginner to advanced.

Lessons can either take place at my home in central Exeter or I'm willing to travel to you. I hold an enhanced DBS and have public liability insurance being an MU member. I charge standard Musician's Union teaching rates.

You can find many examples of my guitar compositions and playing on Bandcamp, iTunes, Spotify etc.

Any questions then do get in touch.

Many thanks,
Matt
