This is not a standard thin soft gig bag. It is a semi-rigid / semi-hard protective case, combining the portability of a gig bag with substantially more protection for the instrument.

The Tribal Planet protective construction uses a tough outer covering together with rigid protective layers, including ABS-style protection, rigid foam and thick internal padding, designed to provide protection against everyday knocks and impacts.
