A creative writing group in Kingston

Description

I want to set up a creative writing group in Kingston, but one which differs from those I have attended or heard about. I set up a group in SE london 10 years ago and it was successful and useful for all of us. I then went to live in France and set up another group to the same effect. I’ll be moving to Kingston in January and hope to find enough people who are interested in the idea.

The Group

The group meets regularly to critique pieces that have been sent round and read before the session.

All critiquing is completely honest, positive and negative, and is offered with a genuine wish to help improve the writer's work.

Members can come from all genres of fiction from childrens' books to blockbusters, but everyone must have a genuine urge write regularly and to improve.

This format is not for everyone, but is a huge help to those who come regularly.

If anyone is interested, I can send something that explains in greater detail how the group works and why I felt I needed a group like this for my own writing.

Where and when we would meet will depend on what interest this posts generates.
