Disappointing when you have to write a negative review. Everything wrote in this review can be backed up with text messages exchanged between myself and Chris. Chris initially appeared professional and offered a very competitive price for the garage conversion that we wanted. He assured us that he would sort out building regs (at our expense). The work was completed in a very timely fashion and initially I was very impressed by the service offered by Chris and his sun contractors. That's unfortunately the only positives I can add to this experience. It took Chris almost 3 weeks to remove the garage door after "completion" of the work. This was after several text messages requesting that the door was removed as I was being pressured from neighbours for its untidyness. Whilst the original quote didn't include the flooring to the conversion my partner asked Chris if he could do it a price was agreed. This is where the majority of my problems started. The flooring did not go down properly because the floor wasn't initially levelled by Chris during the conversion work (this can be verified by the person who put it right) and over the course of the next few weeks Chris promised that the floor and the joint to the kitchen would be sorted. I eventually had to pay someone else to rectify it, level the floor pull up the new floor, re-lay it and put a suitable joint between the rooms. I informed Chris of the cost of this work and he agreed that I would be paid for the remedial work completed. I'm now in the process of small claims court to recover this money. Subsequently Chris said that building regs were sorted and that I would have to pay £200 for this. As building regs weren't compete by him (council emails to prove) I had to pay £400 for the regs as they were done retrospectively. I really didn't want to write this review and I've put it off for weeks in order for Chris to get his house in order. I've been left with no option but to write this review and start small claims court action.
