Sabine is a very dedicated and responsible teacher. She quickly identified my child’s weak areas and worked on strengthening them in a focused way. My child has made noticeable progress in both writing and grammar. We are very happy with the lessons and really appreciate Sabine’s support.

Sabine is an outstanding German tutor—knowledgeable, patient, and highly skilled at explaining even complex grammar in a clear, accessible way. Her lessons are well‑structured, engaging, and tailored to individual needs, making real progress feel natural and achievable. She brings warmth, professionalism, and deep expertise to every session. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to improve their German with confidence.

We worked with this tutor for over two years. During this time, her fees increased annually, which we accepted. At the beginning, she was attentive and engaged, and she asked us to write a review, which we were happy to do based on our initial experience. However, over the past few months, my son’s German progress declined, which was later confirmed by his school teacher following mock examination results. As a private tutor, I expected to be informed if a student was struggling, but no warning or feedback was provided. When I attempted to raise these concerns, I arranged a call at a mutually agreed time. Despite this, the conversation was handled unprofessionally. Her tone was abrupt and dismissive, opening the call with “What is it?”. I found this inappropriate when discussing a child’s education. As a result of her manner, I politely ended the call and apologised for calling, despite the time having been agreed in advance. No follow-up, explanation, or apology was offered. The following day, a Zoom link for the next lesson was sent without any acknowledgment of what had occurred. Professional communication, accountability, and respect are essential when working with children and parents. Unfortunately, these standards were not consistently met, and for these reasons I would not recommend this tutor.

I started sessions with Sabine primarily to perfect pronunciation for singing in German. She showed a genuine interest in what lieder and opera that I was learning, listening to these apparently outside the sessions. In time learning pronunciation has progressed to learning the language which has been in no way pressured and at my own pace. Highly recommended.

Sabine is a great teacher helping me learn German before I move there next year. I am working towards the A2 level at the moment. I find speaking the most difficult part of the language but Sabine helps with confidence as we can have little conversations with Sabine helping to gently correct mistakes without disrupting the flow of the conversation. The lessons are a mix of speaking about the week, reading passages relevant to your level, as well as grammar topics and learning vocabulary. When you don't know a word it's written down and then reviewed the following week - this helps so much with remembering. Lessons are quite flexible and I am able to fit this around a busy work schedule. I'd recommend Sabine to anybody looking to learn German!
