I was let down by this workman. Despite agreeing to the same scope of work advertised on Bark and via email with price, he waited several weeks (until the day before work was to begin), to claim he misunderstood and would now deliver far less but for the same price. This is despite me detailing the work very simply and clearly via email, him agreeing a price to deliver all – and me requesting a few times he raise concerns or questions early. I also requested a formal quote however he ignored several emails and when he did respond, left questions unanswered. If you decide to work with him (which by all means you should) my recommendation is for you to (a) ensure that upfront, he sees your property in person and understands the work required – and that (b) he provides you with a formal quote document playing back exactly what will be delivered within scope, for what price, timings, along with caveats and payment terms – for your agreement in writing prior to moving forward with the project. This will make for a smoother experience.

Dirk did a superb job of converting my summerhouse in to an office space, a full interior renovation with insulation, new floors, doors and a professional finish. Dirk was a great communicator, and very accommodating of any requests. Will hire him again for sure, and absolutley recommend.

I couldn't recommend more highly. We've had Dirk helping us with a week of carpentry and other jobs around our house in Brighton. High-quality workmanship on jobs such as building some cabinets, repairing a bath panel, building an outdoor banister, painting & decorating and more. Very happy with the work he's done- he's obviously very skilled in many trades. Very friendly and polite professional, he's been lovely to have around.

Initially, I invited Dirk Jachens to assemble two vanity units and he did an amazing job. There were other projects that I had lined up and was seeking for someone to do them. I had not seen much of Dirk’s work on a profile page, but was really impressed by his first task. I decided to trust my instincts, judging from his first completed task and asked him to design and build shoe shelving units in my closet, shoe shelves in two other bedrooms, a fitted wardrobe and a media unit for my living room. There were also other minor projects that he did in our home. Getting our house interior units done by Dirk Jachen is one of the most wonderful decisions we had taken and I am pleased to admit that he didn’t disappoint a bit. Dirk has made our house into a home, a home which we always wanted. He understood us and gave us our dream home. Dirk’s attention to detail is phenomenal and I absolutely loved his work. I would definitely recommend Dirk to anyone. He is very professional and made the entire experience amazing. The best part is that he clearly understood our requirements and budget, and provided the best possible units for our home. Overall excellent work by Dirk. Truly overwhelmed by the complete design and execution of all the projects. Dirk definitely a keeper and we would definitely be inviting again to do some work in our kitchen.
