Online French lessons with a native and qualified language teacher/tutor

Bonjour & Hello !

My name is Anne and I’m an enthusiastic, experienced French language teacher specialising in 1 to 1 lessons and small classes.

The lessons are delivered online using ZOOM, with all levels (beginner to advanced) & ages welcome.

I am available Monday to Thursday, between 8am and 8pm, with lessons ranging from 30 minutes for younger learners up to 60 minutes for teenagers & adults.

I employ a needs analysis to cater for a learner’s individual needs, with experience in general French lessons, conversation classes and successfully preparing learners for future exams (e.g., DELF, National 5, Higher, Advanced Higher).

As a language learner, I know what it’s like to learn a foreign language and the challenges learners face. I aim to help you overcome some of these challenges by teaching at your pace and using a communicative approach to ensure the lessons are enjoyable & practical.

Individual (1 to 1) lessons are priced as follows:

£32 per hour
£27 per 45 minutes
£22 per 30 minutes

Lesson for 2 are @ £37 per hour.

*** Group lessons (3-6 learners) for adults (A2 to B2) available @ £16 per person ***
--> Thursdays @ 12.30pm and Mondays @ 6pm.

I’ve been studying with Anne for a couple of years now. I needed & wanted to revisit & improve on the French I’d last learnt at school more than 40 years ago, as our son has married a French lady & I want to be able to engage in conversation with our new extended family in France.
Anne has been guiding me through the DELF specification, which is part of the European Framework of Language; a structured course which involves learning & using everyday vocabulary, as well as incremental grammar input.
Being a native speaker & possessing a teaching qualification, Anne is fastidiously reliable about lesson times & very supportive & encouraging.
To make progress it’s important to practise & revisit the lesson notes in between times, but Anne does her best to fulfil her commitment to the arrangement.

So far, I have progressed from having zero French to doing A2 level exercises. Anne's understanding of my capabilities makes for really enjoyable lessons. Anne is diligent, organised, reliable and on-time. You’d think that would be basic, but not everyone can do that. Anne does. Anne prepares lessons to suit my level, and provides supporting materials that I can use during or after. She can adjust the level quickly, if I’m getting stuck or finding it easy. She gives me homework to practise (but not too much). Anne uses lots of different things in our lessons so it doesn't get boring - we were trying to work out the jokes in a song last lesson! She makes me work really hard, but she is kind too, and SO PERSISTENT - she doesn't give up if I’m rubbish at something. Anne is native French speaker, fluent English speaker permanently living in UK.
