My name’s Sean Nolan from Turf Lodge, Belfast.

I’m not going to sugarcoat it — I was addicted to heroin and meth. Lost years of my life, made a complete mess of things, and pushed a lot of people away. There were times I genuinely didn’t think I’d ever come back from it.

But somehow… I did.

And the mad part is, it started with something as simple as making flavoured peanuts in the house. Gave me something to focus on, something steady when everything else wasn’t.

There’s even a bit of dark irony in it all… years ago I seriously hurt myself doing something stupid chasing drink and ended up losing a testicle.
