Description

Registered new in 1956 in North West London. In 1967 owned by Mr. Bouquet of Wembley, possibly the original owner. Original documentation : insurance policy, MoT Certificate and logbook copy. In 1969 she was laid-up in a garage until his death in 2021. Bought and restored by an enthusiast in Sherborne, Dorset. First registered SLX 986, re-registered on age-related plate due to time in storage. Sympathetic restoration and mechanical rebuild, with bills and receipts of over £4,000. Restoration including engine rebuild, gaskets, hoses, ignition, panels, wing, sills, braking system, cooling system overhaul, new radiator, exhaust, fuel pump, wheels powder coated, tyres, front springs, suspension tops, carpets and repaint in original black, superb chrome, leather renovated and repaired. Hide Food and leather glue included in sale to continue care. Front passenger seat, while serviceable, would benefit from further restoration. In 2023 she passed her first MoT in 55 years with no advisories. Currently owned by Mr Watson, as almost identical to his first car. She has been looked after and lightly used during his ownership. Receipts and maintenance books included in the sale.
