Ford Mondeo Estate car 1.6 Business Edition, 6 gear manual gearbox, diesel engine with MOT, 1 key, with registration document and partial service history (from the 1 owner before I owned the car).

1 previous owner from new and I originally bought the car in March 2017.

This car has always run really well and driven smoothly.

The fuel filler cap has a certain size nozzle entry point, which stops the wrong nozzle being inserted to avoid filling the car with the wrong fuel.

This was our family car and has always sailed through all its MOT’s with few advisories and passed straight away, once they were resolved.

The O/S door mirror doesn’t open/close automatically (though it used to) and it has to be manually moved, but it might be an easy fix for someone, though the N/S mirror opens and closes automatically fine and both mirror glasses are intact and electrically adjust perfectly every time.

There are front and rear parking sensors, which all work perfectly as factory fitted from new, and they are a great help when parking the car.

The engine and gearbox seem in good condition for their age and the body work is mostly in good condition for its age, and I bought the car with about 73000 miles on the clock and I have added on about 47000 miles in about 6-7 years of driving the car, which is great and the car has always been really well looked after and has always been driven sensibly.

This has always been a reliable car and always starts every time (though it hasn’t been driven for a while) and with only 120K miles on the clock, it has great mileage for its age and should continue to be reliable for years to come.

There are one or two marks on the rear bumper, and there are one or two marks along one side (on the door), and there is a small rust spot on the roof., but these should be easy to touch up.

The car had a brand new battery fitted from Halfords in March 2021 and had 2 brand new Michelin Primacy tyres in the last few years and 2 more brand new Michelin Primacy tyres in March 2023 (the front and back tracking was done at this point) and all 4 tyres have currently got really good treads, though I’m not sure how good they are to date, the spare tyre and the alloy wheel nuts are brand new and I have the new alloy wheel locking wheel nut tool.

There are no dashboard warning lights or engine management lights on the car, other than a “Service Oil” message that pops up every time you turn on the ignition or start the car, but that message goes away after a few seconds and is just signalling that the car could use a service, but it in no way stops the car being driven and isn’t a warning or engine management light.

There seems to be a little water problem in the tailgate panel, and it seems that a little rainwater gets into the tailgate panel somewhere, though there are 2 rubber bungs that can easily be twisted off by hand and the water drains out every time and because of this, moisture may be visible on the inside of the N/S rear tail-light cluster, but that should be an easy fix for someone and just needs the water to be drained out, the N/S rear taillight cluster to be dried out and the potential water entry point problem (which I cannot seem to find) fixed.

There is a sunglasses drop down storage pouch in the roof in front of the rear view mirror, and the rear windows and tailgate window are tinted and are great for blocking out bright sunshine.

I purchased the car from Car Shop, and the car was originally purchased without opting for Gardx paint and interior dashboard and seat protection, but the car did have the Gardx sticker in the window, so I’m not sure if it did have Gardx protection or not in the end and though the front number plate has slight deterioration to it, each MOT, is is mentioned as an advisory, but also that it is not likely to be misread, so it has never been fixed or changed.

There is a removable parcel/dog guard fitted (floor to ceiling) behind the rear seats that is great if travelling with a dog or to stop the contents of a full boot area tipping onto the rear passengers.

The boot space is very large (about 542 litres with the seats up and about 1733 litres with the seats down), and there is a boot mat and tie down hooks and under the mat, a new spare wheel and Jack etc. is provided) and a towing eye is present which can be fitted to the front or back of the car (it fits behind a blanking plate on either the front or back bumper that as far as I know, have never been removed and the towing eye has never been fitted).

The front seat belts are height adjustable and the front seats are adjustable (the drivers seat is electric height adjustable).

There are factory fitted Thule locking roof bars on the roof with an original Thule key and original Torx spanner tool.

The car multimedia radio etc has a built in Sat Nav and AM/FM radio and CD player with access to Bluetooth phone/IPod etc. connection (with steering wheel controls).

I have tried to be as honest as possible with this car advert and as such, the car is sold as seen, with no returns or refunds, so don’t miss your chance to buy a great car with good storage space and room for a large family or to be used to carry lots of stuff, and it would also be perfect for a business/tradesperson given the large capacity boot, so grab an amazing bargain now.
