Ford Mondeo 1.6 TDCi Econetic for sale. £35 road tax! Six months MOT.

I am selling for my father. He retired in 2025 after owning this car since 2020, using it daily to go to work. He has bought a new car and no longer needs this.

It is a late 2011 Mondeo with the 1.6 litre 115bhp diesel engine and 6 speed manual gearbox.

The car is built for economy and comfort. It is incredibly cheap to run. £35 annual road tax, low insurance group, realistic 50MPG+ with a spacious and comfortable interior, plus a huge boot!

The car has two keys and a folder with service history. My father has had the car serviced and maintained at local garages, but some of the history since 2020 has been lost. It has records from 2023 and major servicing in 2024, with a 2023 cambelt and water pump change at 112k miles. At the MOT last year in September the car was serviced, but this specific record has been lost.

Since the car passed its MOT in September 2025 with no mechanical advisories it has only done about 1,300 miles.

Cosmetically the car has several bumps and bruises on the exterior. There are small dings on the rear wing, some paint peeling on the bottom of one sill, a few small car park marks, small marks on one rear arch, minor alloy wheel paint corrosion and such like. There are NO big dents, bad repairs or crash damage: the car is HPI clear. There is no significant patches of body corrosion, no welding or warnings on MOT for corrosion. It's honest and original but obviously a well used 15 year old work horse vehicle. The interior is in good condition: it is quite clean with no bad scratches on the plastics and dashboard. Steering wheel and seat wear is minimal.

The car is mechanically sound and drives well. It is comfortable and wafts along quietly without any knocks or bangs. The gearbox is smooth, the clutch bites well, the brakes strong. The engine starts easily, runs well and does not smoke.

It has been a very reliable, ultra cheap to run workhorse for many years. There is quite a lot of life left in it for someone wanting this level of space.

£1,295 reflects the age and condition. It's already very cheap compared to others on the market currently.
