2018 Ford Fiesta 1.1 Duratec Ti-VCT 18,650 miles

History and reason for sale:
Registered new September 2018.
Bought by my father-in-law from Peoples Ford Edinburgh as ‘Approved Used’ on 03 January 2020 with 6,479 miles. It had one previous owner at that point and my father-in law became the second owner.
Transferred to my sister-in-law on 05 August 2025 at around 18,000 miles for her occasional use when visiting from overseas.
Any new owner will be the fourth owner but in reality my sister-in law has been driving her father’s car very occasionally and, it was only transferred to her for insurance purposes.
I am selling on behalf of my wife and her sister.
It is surplus to requirements – my wife has her own car which suits our dog better and I have an older much larger vehicle which suits me better physically – we do not need this Fiesta despite it having a lot of life left.
The car is still registered to my father-in-law’s address which is 5 minutes’ walk from my home.
I was present at his purchase of the car and arranged servicing and MOTs for him over the years so, I’ve known the car since 2020.

Pass Aug 2021 at 9,375 miles
Pass Sept 2022 at 11,985 miles
Pass Aug 2023 at 14,388 miles, advisory on NSF tyre tread depth.
Pass Aug 2024 at 17,131miles
Pass Sept 2025 at 18,637 miles.
Car will require a fresh MOT in September which I shall have done for any purchaser once I’ve taxed the car nearer to any collection date.

Car is now on 18,643 miles having barely been run since last MOT in Sept 2025.
By mileage it is not due a service but as the last one was two years ago and as this is a wet belt engine, I’d recommend any purchaser has the oil and filter changed soon.

Condition:
A good prospect for someone who needs economy motoring, or for a young person learning to or recently passed the driving test.
The car is in generally good condition overall as you may expect from the low mileage.
The car drives well, brakes, steers, accelerates as you’d expect.
V5 is present.
Car has two functional keys.
Locking wheel nut key is present.
No spare tyre, but inflation kit is in boot along with towing eye.
I understand this car as a wet belt engine.
Naturally aspirated – ie non turbo, 3 cylinder 1084cc engine.
Automatic power fold-in mirrors upon locking the car.
The car is not taxed.


Interior:
The interior exhibits only mild wear, insignificant staining, no smoking or pet evidence.
The driver’s seat bolsters are in good condition.
The driver’s door card and plastic sill cover feature some light staining from foot contact though I have scrubbed and cleaned these, the staining is ingrained in the plastic – it is not highly visible but it is present.
I am not aware of anything not working properly on the car but equally I don’t know all its features.
Radio, heater, blower, lights, controls etc all seem to operate normally.
Boot is clean.

Wheels:
Wheels are generally in very good condition save a few marks as shown in photos.
Rear tyres are the Kumhos from 2024, fronts are Michelins dating from 2017, which have some cracking.
Tread depths are good all round.
I expect the Michelins will pass the MOT and if I was keeping the car for urban use I’d leave them on but if the car is bought and intended for use on fast A-roads and Motorways I’d replace those with a pair of Kumhos to match the rear.
For info, a pair of 195/55 R16 V (87) will be £170 via the above retailer, fitted in Edinburgh.

Bodywork:
Bodywork has a number of scratches and scuffs, mainly to corners and flanks as captured in photographs.
The car generally looks in good condition and being silver the scratches and scuffs are not very visible as there is little contrast to eg a darker bodywork paint.
I’ve touched in with a touch up stick, a couple of areas which were most noticeable.
There is a ding in the lower door swage pressing on the front nearside.
