Ford Fiesta Zetec S 1.0 EcoBoost – 2013

Selling my 2013 Ford Fiesta Zetec S 1.0 EcoBoost (125bhp).
Mileage is 155,000 and may increase slightly as the car is still in use. Mostly motorway miles.

The car comes with service history and has had the wet belt and water pump replaced at 112k miles, which is a big job already done on these engines.

Running & condition:
• Starts and drives
• Engine runs well
• Everything works as it should electrically
• Cheap to run: £20 yearly road tax, low insurance group
• Sporty Zetec S model
• A few age-related marks but nothing major for the year/mileage

Known issues (please read):
• Gearbox issue: Second gear synchromesh is damaged. It will go into 2nd gear, but around 90% of the time it won’t downshift back into 2nd. Will need gearbox repair or replacement.
• Service light on: Car needs a service. When the light comes on, the car goes into limp mode to protect the engine. Turning the car off and back on resets it temporarily.
• Front driver-side wheel hub: One wheel stud has snapped inside the hub. As the stud can’t be replaced separately, the hub needs replacing and pressing in. Doesn’t affect driving but will likely fail MOT.
• MOT expires 4th February
• Windscreen leak from the bottom, likely due to a hose issue — shouldn’t be an expensive fix.

Overall, this is a good project car, spares/repairs, or ideal for someone who can fix it themselves. With the major engine work already done, it has plenty of potential.
