2013 FORD FIESTA 1.0 ECOBOOST 5DR NON RUNNER with a speedo reading of 108106 genuine miles.

This car was brought in January 2023 in full working condition for £5000 with no indication of any problems or faults. I paid for the car to have a full check before final purchase. Again no problems. Money was paid by bank transfer so it has no outstanding finance or payments attached to it.

The car has had full service history/mots until it refused to start one morning in January 2025.

Approx 6 weeks prior to this, when the car was running, the oil pressure warning light was illuminating intermittently. We got it seen to straightaway and the wetbelt was found to be falling. This is a common fault with these engines, and due to the age of the car and position of the wetbelt, we were also advised to replace other parts, which were the sump oil pump, oil pump belt, water pump and water hose from header tank, other works included, an engine flush, belt debris cleaned from sump, plus new oil and oil filter supplied. We did this and paid just under £1500 for the works.

When the car wouldn’t start in January 2025, the mechanic who completed the previous works took a look at it again. He performed some diagnostic tests and looked in the bonnet. He thinks that the head gasket needs replacing but as we’ve just pay out £1500 we don’t want to spend anymore on it. Overall, it’s been a good first car for our son.

Due to work commitments, the car has remained on our drive since. Its mot has now run out.
