This is genuinely a difficult car for me to sell.

This Edge has been my pride and joy for the last four years and, honestly, it is probably the best car I have ever owned.

I bought it in 2022 with just 32,000 miles and have looked after it meticulously ever since. It now has 75,417 miles, with approximately 95% of the mileage I have added being motorway miles, mainly from my daily 40-mile commute to work.

If I didn't need a van for my hobbies — especially fishing and camping — I would simply keep this car.

Unfortunately, keeping two large vehicles doesn't make financial sense, so reluctantly, my Edge is now looking for a new home.

🔧 MAINTENANCE

One of the most important things to me has always been regular maintenance.

The engine oil and filter have been changed every 5–6,000 miles / approximately every 6 months, rather than waiting for the longer manufacturer service intervals.

I have always used premium Millers oil specifically suited to this engine.

The timing belt has already been replaced approximately 20,000 miles ago, so this is something the next owner doesn't need to worry about for a long time.

During the four years I have owned the car, it has been extremely reliable.

No major breakdowns, no major mechanical problems and no nasty surprises.

It has simply been properly maintained and looked after.

⭐ EXTRAS & UPGRADES

There are quite a few additional extras fitted to this Edge which make it stand out from a standard car:

🔹 Ford Raptor-style front grille with three amber LED marker lights, professionally wired to operate with the dipped headlights. It looks absolutely fantastic on the Edge.

🔹 70mai A500S front & rear dash camera, professionally installed with all wiring completely hidden. Front and rear recording, including night recording.

🔹 Stainless steel side steps fitted to both sides, with rubber inserts.

🔹 Window wind deflectors fitted to the front and rear side windows.

🔹 Polished stainless steel rear bumper protector.

🔹 Front and rear mudflaps.

🔹 Phone holder with wireless charging.

🔹 Genuine Ford Edge fabric floor mats, front and rear, in virtually unused condition.

💡 LIGHTING

The standard front lighting has also been upgraded.

🔹 Philips H7 LED bulbs fitted to the main headlights. Genuine premium Philips LEDs, not cheap Chinese aftermarket bulbs. They cost over £100 and produce a proper, sharp beam pattern/cutoff for excellent road illumination.

🔹 LED puddle lights underneath the door mirrors, providing useful illumination around the doors when the vehicle is unlocked/opened.

🔹 Yellow front fog lights, particularly useful in poor visibility and foggy conditions, while also giving the Edge a distinctive look.

The lighting setup looks fantastic and provides noticeably better visibility than the standard bulbs.

🛞 TYRES

The car has four brand-new Toyo tyres, fitted approximately 2 months ago.

They cost around £700, so this is a significant expense already taken care of for the next owner.

❤️ CONDITION

The car is in excellent condition for a 2017 vehicle and has been genuinely cared for.

The paintwork presents extremely well with no major dents or damage. There may be the occasional tiny mark you would expect from a car of this age and mileage, but nothing significant.

The interior is also in excellent condition.

I always prefer to be completely honest, so there is one cosmetic point worth mentioning:

The front-left alloy wheel has some paint/lacquer coming away and would benefit from refurbishment. The wheel itself is straight and perfectly usable.

Other than that, there is nothing I am aware of that requires immediate attention.

📍 THE CAR

This is not a car that has spent its life doing short journeys around town.

I bought it at 32,000 miles and have personally put the majority of the current mileage on it.

Approximately 95% of my mileage has been motorway driving, including my daily commute.

It has been treated to frequent oil changes, quality fluids and regular maintenance throughout my ownership.

The radio/infotainment system has been updated, as have the navigation maps.

Everything works as it should.

💷 PRICE: £10,900 ONO

I'm not selling this car because there is anything wrong with it.

Quite the opposite.

I'm selling it because I have bought a van which I need for my fishing and camping equipment, and unfortunately keeping two large vehicles simply doesn't make financial sense.

Whoever buys this Edge will be getting a very well-equipped, properly maintained and much-loved car.

I just hope it finds a new owner who appreciates it and looks after it as much as I have.
