1982 Ford Cortina L 1.6 4 Door Saloon Y Registration

A lovely opportunity to own one of the very last of the Ford Cortinas, this 1982 Y registration Cortina L is finished in blue and powered by the familiar 1.6-litre Pinto petrol engine.

The Cortina is one of those cars that needs very little introduction. For decades it was part of everyday British life, and good surviving examples are becoming increasingly difficult to find, particularly cars that still retain a substantial amount of their original history.

And it is the history with this particular car that really makes it stand out.

The car comes with stacks of paperwork and documentation, including its original bill of sale from the supplying Ford dealer.

Even better, included within the history file is a letter from the gentleman who purchased the Cortina brand new in 1982 and went on to own it right through until 2013 – an incredible 31 years with its first owner.

His letter gives further information about the car, including details of his ownership and work carried out over the years, providing the sort of personal history that is becoming increasingly rare with cars of this age.

3.3 All parts supplied and fitted by us are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty where applicable.

3.4 We are not responsible for faults arising from misuse, neglect, or work carried out by third parties after collection.

3.5 Vehicles are left with us at the owner’s risk; however, we take all reasonable precautions for security and safety.

3.6 Payment is due upon completion of work and before vehicle collection unless otherwise agreed.

3.7 Vehicles not collected within 7 days of completion may be subject to storage charges.

3.8 If parts need to be specially ordered, a deposit may be required before work begins.
