Life’s too short to be hung up on silly worries. Your training journey with me at the Commando Temple will help you to realise you’re far more capable than you thought. I’d be delighted to be the individual to get you there! Along with a bucket load of giggles you’ll feel more confident, empowered and absolutely delicious.

I help clients with injury rehab, and I train in ancient strength tools like clubs, meels and shields. All the unusual wooden toys at the Temple. The kinds of things that make you look like you've been in an accident at B&Q if you get it wrong :-) . They're very technical but so much fun and they challenge your body and movement precision in such a different way to usual strength tools.

I work with clients 121 on these, and I run workshops and courses on them as well as using them myself pretty much every day.

I'm passionate about yoga, attending regular classes and utilising poses and flows to help clients. I really enjoy Bulgarian bags too. These are the weird leather croissants you see at the gym. Like clubs, meels and shields they challenge you in various planes of motion so very beneficial for strength and movement. A lot of these things probably just sound like random words strung together at the moment. You need to come in and see them!

I'm bisexual and I run the queer strongman workshops and competitions at the gym! Pride in Strength and Queerstrong. Both are growing and there's a wonderful, thriving community here at the gym! Workshops are every 5/6 weeks. The comps are annually. Absolutely magical.

Sessions with me are not only juicier than a tin of beans, they will get you moving sleek and strong like a hench lizard! My emphasis is on mobility as well as strength, flexibility and conditioning. I assess client movement patterns and postures and then decipher the best ways to get them to their strength and fitness goals whilst developing resilience and keeping them moving well. All with a big smile!

Ben is an absolutely brilliant personal trainer- and probably the coolest one you will ever meet. When we started I had a lot of physical and mental health problems as well as a genuine dislike for exercise, and so I was very anxious and worried I wouldn't enjoy it. However, Ben was so personable that within a short space of time I was addicted! He really listened to my goals and designed a program that not only helped me achieve them but that also fits my personality and needs - for example, I don't like spending hours on the running machine so Ben designed a program that keeps me occupied and engaged, so that it never really feels like exercise. No session is ever the same and Ben is so chatty and down to earth that the time flies by! He also has a lot of knowledge about nutrition and diet. I have type 1 diabetes and therefore have particular things I have to bear in mind when changing my diet. Ben was able to adjust to this and created a diet plan for me that helped me to optimise my weight loss without it being detrimental to my diabetes. Since starting with him I've lost over a stone and my fitness has increased massively. He's amazing. I'm a big fan.

Ben is a really fantastic trainer who takes care of his clients' needs and as an Incomplete Paraplegic, he makes sure my exercise programme is tailored around my disability. He is reliable and makes each session fun. An all-around great guy and highly recommended.

Ben has been an inspiring addition to my life, he is an excellent trainer, and has helped me enormously to get in better shape and to stick with it. He is personable, always on time, helpful and flexible, and imaginative in developing new workout routines. I like him for his humour and always enjoy my workouts with Ben.

I’ve been working with Ben 3x a week for 2 years. He’s transformed both my body and my mind! Since working with him, I’m stronger, faster, more toned, and just generally I have a more positive outlook on life. He keeps things fun and interesting — we work hard and laugh a lot too. He’s coached me through several injuries and has been there for me through all of life’s ups and downs. I look forward to every session with him and am excited to see what I can achieve this year with him as my coach.

Ben’s sessions are fun, engaging, and always push me to challenge myself. His knowledge of mobility and strength is incredible… I really appreciate the rehabilitation element we do at the start of each session.
