Description:
For sale is a high-specification, custom-built oak aquarium setup. This unit was commissioned specifically to house larger freshwater species and is being sold as a complete running system, including the current animals shown in the photos.
We are moving to a smaller property and unfortunately cannot accommodate a tank of this footprint.
The Tank & Cabinet:
Dimensions: Approx 8ft (L) x 3ft (D) x 6ft (H) total unit size.
Build: Solid oak cabinetry with a shaker-style finish and brushed steel handles. The hood is matching oak and houses the lighting rig.
Glass: 19mm toughened float glass with rimless bracing.
Filtration: The cabinet houses a large custom sump system capable of handling a very high bio-load.
Layout: The tank is currently set up as a paludarium (mixed land and water) with a large reinforced basking platform/rock area to allow the inhabitants to haul out of the water.
The Livestock (Included): The sale includes the three large South American semi-aquatic river specimens currently inhabiting the tank.
Type: Large Amazonian semi-aquatic freshwater species.
Size: These are substantial creatures, weighing approximately 45-50kg each. Please ensure you have the capacity for animals of this size.
Logistics: STRICTLY COLLECTION ONLY. This is not a standard fish tank. The glass alone weighs hundreds of kilograms. You will need a Luton van or similar and at least 4 strong people to move the glass, cabinet, and the livestock safely. Buckets will not be sufficient for transporting the specimens; large crates will be required.
