This car was purchased by me 4 1/2 years ago with a view to using it to teach my daughter how to drive. The mileage remains a very low 45,900 and it performs superbly. I purchased this particular car for my daughter, partly because of its superb specification, but also because it had such a low mileage. The Fiat 500 is popular with all ages, thanks to it's retro charm, but these cars have long been a firm favorite with new drivers and learners as they are cheap to run and easy to drive.

The 500 is also extremely practical. It seats 4 comfortably, with the high roofline ensuring the interior feels spacious and airy. On a combined cycle Fiat claim an average of 58mpg but this will increase to over 60mpg on a steady run. The other pay off to the 500's green credentials are incredibly low road tax - just £35 a year!

The 500 has been a firm favorite among new drivers and it's easy to see why. Selectable ""city"" steering gives added power assistance at the touch of a button - ideal for tight parking maneuver's. The visibility is excellent with a large glass area and an excellent driving position. Both the drivers seat and steering column have height adjustment so finding the perfect driving position is easy. There is also air-conditioning which blows ice cold.

Performance from the 4 cylinder 1242cc engine is excellent and the 5 speed manual gearbox has a smooth easy change which is a delight to use. What is more this car has added X-Factor... You always feel as though you are in something special - rather than a conventional supermini you have a car that is bursting with personality and retro charm.
