Description

1955 Humber Hawk Mk VI, With Overdrive, Super Condition, Drives Beautifully, Great All Round Car Ready To Enjoy.

The 1955 Humber Hawk was often affectionately known as the "poor man's Rolls Royce". With its imposing grille, polished wood interior and smooth, comfortable ride, it offered a touch of British luxury without the Rolls Royce price tag. For many families and professionals in the 1950s, it was as close as they were ever likely to get to motoring in true style.

Interestingly, the car is fitted with a wing mounted flag holder, and a small triangular Union Flag was found with it. While its history hasn't been verified, it raises the interesting possibility that the car may have seen ceremonial or official use at some point in its life.

The exterior is in great condition, with bright, glossy paintwork, and the interior is equally impressive, the seats, carpets, door cards, and dashboard are in excellent order.

The engine bay and underside are also in excellent order, reflecting the overall quality of the car.

Really great to drive, with no unwanted noises, smooth through the gears, and exceptionally comfortable. It's not hard to see why these cars were often referred to as the "poor man's Rolls Royce."

The car is in Northern Ireland and has a standard UK V5 registration; it’s usable anywhere in the UK without re-registration or import duties.

HPI CHECKED - The car has been checked and there is no known outstanding finance, mileage discrepancies, or insurance records of damage or theft.

DELIVERY - We can help with delivery anywhere in the UK or Ireland at very reasonable rates.

WHO AM I - I began as an apprentice mechanic in 1974, started my own car business in 1982, expanding to Newtownards in 1993. After selling the business my classic car passion led to the creation of Cherryvalley Cars and Classics.

VIEWING - By timed telephone appointment. Please call to arrange a suitable time.
