Overview

An UHNW private household is seeking an experienced Travelling Food and Beverage Manager to oversee all aspects of private dining, service, and hospitality operations across the residence.

This senior role is responsible for planning and executing formal dining experiences, large-scale private dinners, and high-profile hospitality events, frequently attended by distinguished guests including members of royal families and other VIPs.

In addition to traditional household responsibilities, the role includes managing internal projects aimed at enhancing hospitality operations, developing new dining concepts, and maintaining cutting-edge service standards.

The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional discretion, service leadership, and operational excellence, with the ability to coordinate kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver seamless, world-class hospitality within a private residential environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Hospitality & Service Management:


Oversee all household dining operations, ensuring impeccable service standards at all times.



Plan and execute formal dinners, receptions, and events for 80-100 guests.



Lead and manage butlers, service staff, and front-of-house teams.



Coordinate closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure seamless service delivery.



Maintain formal dining protocols appropriate for VIP and royal guests.



Supervise table settings, service choreography, and event flow.



Act as the lead front-of-house representative during hosted events.



Ensure household hospitality standards reflect the highest levels of international service.



Wine & Beverage Management:


Maintain expert oversight of the household wine cellar and beverage program.



Advise principals on wine pairings for private dinners and events.



Coordinate wine procurement, cellar organisation, and design pairings for formal menus with the Head Chef.



Event Planning & Internal Projects:


Plan and manage large-scale dinners and private events, including staffing, service logistics, and event timelines.



Oversee external vendors where required.



Provide options for new dining set-ups, including the latest restaurants and trends.



Plan table setups using table plan software.



Compile seasonal menus with the Head Chef, ensuring the use of the finest organic produce.



Maintain and update a global list of dietary requirements.



Create SOPs documenting day-to-day tasks and workflow.



Maintain a local network of trusted contacts and vendors in London.



Recruit, train, and manage front-of-house hospitality staff.



Supervise butlers and service teams to maintain impeccable standards.



Conduct staff training in formal service, etiquette, and protocol.



Foster a professional and discreet working environment.



Strong computer literacy, including event planning software and table planning tools.



Candidate Profile


Experience in ultra-high-end hospitality environments, including private estates, royal households, luxury hotels, or Michelin-starred establishments.



Extensive experience managing formal dining and large-scale private dinners.



Proven ability to lead butlers and front-of-house hospitality teams.



Exceptional knowledge of wine and wine service.



Experience serving VIP, diplomatic, or royal guests.



Strong organisational and event management skills.



Deep understanding of formal service etiquette and international protocol.
