Description

Keswick Film Festival 2026 is screening some exceptional films - award winners, premieres and hidden gems that you may never have the chance to see elsewhere.
Don't miss out, buy your tickets now.
The Secret Agent is a powerful and pulsating political thriller set in Brazil and is nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars. Sirat, follows the desperate search for a daughter by a father and son following her disappearance at a rave deep in the mountains of southern Morocco. A road movie like no other, Sirat is Oscar nominated for Best International Picture.
The Sound of Falling is a strange disorientating film, nominated for Best International Feature at the Oscars.
We look back to 1976 with three classic films from that year: Taxi Driver, Bugsy Malone and The Man Who Fell to Earth.
Two of our 1976 films feature the brilliant Jodie Foster, and we will also be showing her most recent film, A Private Life a critically acclaimed black comedy murder mystery.
As well as the hilarious caper that is Bugsy, we also have the joyous Happy Feet and Kangaroo, a heartwarming, emotional and humorous film - a delightful watch for an audience of all ages.
You will be truly inspired by When Life Gives You Lemons... Everyone's Everest. A world premiere about Sally Orange MBE and her battle against cancer with a community of survivors. The film is followed by a Q and A with Sally herself and the director, Tom McShane.
Terry Abraham Presents....is a special event featuring the self - taught filmmaker and photographer. Terry will introduce a selection from his fantastic catalogue including the BBC hit series Life of a Mountain. Screening takes place on the truly awe - inspiring giant screen at Rheged.
A world premiere, All and Nothing is a mesmerising documentary exploring the life and journey of the late Chinese conceptual artist Li Yuan-chia, who made Cumbria his home, opening the LYC Museum and Gallery in Banks.
This year we are honoured to welcome Lady Anwen Hurt as our guest of honour. The widow of the late Sir John Hurt, a former Patron of Keswick Film Festival, will present the Osprey awards to celebrate the work of up-and-coming filmmakers.
Carlisle College students have selected a series of recent films from vibrant US filmmakers and provide an exhibition on Li Yuan - chia.
So, select from edge of the seat thrillers and dramas, powerful and thought - provoking documentaries, laugh aloud comedies and heartwarming and fun films for all the family. And as always, we also have the quirky for those who like something different. There really is something for everyone at KFF2026.
