EASTER MEDIEVAL FESTIVAL

Description

This immersive experience invites visitors of all ages to journey back to the year 1189. The castle's lower lawns will be transformed into a vibrant medieval encampment, offering a glimpse into the sights, sounds and excitement of the 12th century. This year's Easter event centres around Richard the Lionheart who ruled as King of England from 1189-1199. To celebrate the King's coronation, the Earl of Arundel musters his barons and holds an action-packed tournament.

The event promises three days of dynamic reenactments, including exhilarating displays of 12th-century combat, falconry and archery. Visitors can enjoy various activities and entertainment, from live medieval music to trying their hand at archery or crafting. Whether delving into hands-on experiences or simply enjoying the atmosphere, there is something to captivate everyone, and all activities are included in the ticket price.

For those looking to refuel, the Knights' Table will serve medieval-inspired dishes and beverages near the encampment. Alternatively, visitors can enjoy refreshments at the castle's cafe, restaurant, or tea terrace, or bring a picnic to enjoy in the beautiful grounds.

Day tickets for the Easter Medieval Festival are available, priced from £29 per adult, £13 for a child, or £71 for a Family Ticket. Children under five years old can enter for free. Garden-only tickets are not available for this event.
