Prepare for an unforgettable evening as the Dorset County Orchestra cello section joins forces with cellists Aurelien Pinchon, Betsy Chow and Martha Jones from the Cherubim Music Trust in a stunning celebration of the cello's rich, soulful sound.
From the radiant beauty of Morgen to the mesmerising melodies of Villa-Lobos' Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5, the concert's first half culminates with soprano Hannah Swale performing exquisite extracts from Strauss's Four Last Songs.
This Cello treat will be followed by Brahms's Symphony No. 1. Epic, passionate and utterly thrilling, this towering masterpiece will sweep audiences from its dramatic opening to one of the most exhilarating finales ever written.
