Description
Gaggia Classic, 2011 model, espresso coffee machine in excellent used condition.
This is the version with the adjustable OPV and solenoid valve (the version you want).
I have completed the following work on it:
* Completely stripped down to its component parts
* Cleaned it thoroughly
* Manually descaled everything including the solenoid valve, OPV, group head and boiler. This particular boiler was very clean, I have seen some mingers!
* Rebuilt it with fresh seals
* New fresh silicone hoses
* Cafelat 8.5mm blue silicone portafilter seal
* New stainless steel shower screen screw
* Adjusted the OPV to 9bar
* Upgraded - Stainless steel dispersion plate and new stainless bolts
* Upgraded - Rancilio steam wand
* Upgraded - Bottomless portafilter with new standard basket and wooden handle
* Repaired the chassis, the spot welds are notorious for failing, I have added 2 equally spaced rivets to the rear of the machine to secure the internal base of the machine permanently and prevent twist when locking in the portafilter.
It comes with the original twin spout portafilter and pressurised basket. I have bought a brand new bottomless portafilter and additionally a blind filter to go with it to allow backflushing with Pulycaf/Cafiza.
Since completing the work it has been used to make a handful of espressos to test only.
