Description
For sale is my Izzo Alex Duetto III, manufactured in 2012.
This is a proper prosumer espresso machine with an E61 group, dual boilers, PID temperature control, rotary pump, strong steam performance, and the option to run the steam boiler on or off depending on whether you want milk drinks or espresso only. The steam wand has a 4-hole tip, which makes steaming milk very easy.
I have owned the machine since 2019. It is fully working, currently set up as tank-fed, and has no leaks. I am only selling because I have moved to another machine.
This is a serious home espresso machine and a big step up from standard domestic machines — ideal for someone wanting proper café-style espresso and milk steaming at home.

Maintenance during my ownership:
Backflushed with water weekly
Backflushed monthly with Puly Caff
E61 cam lubricated with Molykote 111
Descaled once using a weak citric acid solution
Previous owner used hard tap water, but I have run it on Tesco Ashbeck since owning it
The machine has been opened up, inspected, cleaned, and reassembled. Internally it presents well for its age, and externally the stainless bodywork still looks excellent, with only normal minor marks expected from a used machine.

Please note: I only have the bottomless portafilter. I do not have the original double-spouted portafilter or the plumb-in kit.
Honest note
The brew pressure gauge needle rests at around 2 bar when idle, but it works and reads correctly at normal brew pressure — around 9 bar during extraction. The machine is otherwise fully working: it heats correctly, steams well, pumps correctly, and has no leaks.
Buyer is welcome to see the machine powered on, heating, pumping water, and steaming before purchase.
