I am a highly experienced tutor with over a decade in education, specialising in primary education (KS1 and KS2) and the 7+, 8+, and 11+ entrance exams for leading schools both in London and across the UK. With a 100% success rate, I pride myself on helping students not only meet but exceed the standards required for these selective exams. My background as a former Head of English and Year 6 teacher gives me a deep understanding of both curriculum content and entrance exam expectations, which I use to guide each student to their full potential.

I offer comprehensive reading support, from foundational phonics to advanced comprehension skills needed for 11+ exams. I am passionate about creating confident readers who can approach a wide range of texts with understanding and enjoyment. Additionally, I specialise in creative writing, encouraging students to develop unique voices and write with imagination, clarity, and structure. My creative writing sessions are designed to inspire children and give them the tools to excel in exams, as well as foster a lifelong love of writing.

In every tutoring session, my focus is on building confidence and independence through a highly personalised approach. I tailor each lesson to suit the student’s strengths, areas for improvement, and individual learning style. I work with students of all abilities, ensuring they feel supported, motivated, and empowered to succeed. With an emphasis on developing skills, resilience, and a positive mindset, I create a warm, encouraging environment that keeps students engaged and enthusiastic about their progress.

My ultimate goal is to make learning enjoyable and rewarding, helping every student achieve their best in a supportive, challenging, and enriching way.
