Description
Our client, a key player in the nuclear sector, is currently seeking a Welding Engineer to join them on a contract basis. This exciting opportunity supporting a major Nuclear project in Reading, offering a challenging yet rewarding role for individuals passionate about welding standards and quality within the nuclear industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring compliance with welding standards and regulations for nuclear projectsCoordinating welding activities in alignment with BS EN ISO 14731Overseeing and contributing to the Quality Assurance processesCollaborating with engineering teams to develop and implement welding proceduresReviewing and approving welding documentationMaintaining international certification requirements in weldingProviding technical guidance and support to welding operations
Job Requirements:
Holding or eligible for SC ClearanceExpertise as a Welding Coordinator according to BS EN ISO 14731Experience in Quality Engineering within the nuclear sectorCertification as an IIW/EWF Welding Engineer or TechnologistInternational Certification in weldingStrong understanding of the nuclear industry and associated safety standardsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsAttention to detail and a commitment to high-quality standards
