Regional Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced MIG Welder to join a market leading sheet metal company based in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a growing organisation, manufacturing high-quality sheet metal fabrications to engineering drawings while maintaining excellent quality and production standards.

Essential:

Previous MIG welding experienceSheet metal fabrication experienceAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsExperience working with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminiumAbility to produce high-quality welds to specificationStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work independently and as part of a teamGood understanding of workshop health and safety proceduresReliable, punctual, and motivated with a strong work ethic Desirable:

Formal welding or fabrication qualificationsPrevious experience within a sheet metal manufacturing environmentExperience using fabrication equipment and hand toolsAbility to carry out basic quality inspectionsForklift truck licenceExperience working to production targets and deadlinesFull UK driving licence Roles & Responsibilities

Carrying out MIG welding on a range of sheet metal fabricationsFabricating components in line with engineering drawings and customer specificationsEnsuring all finished products meet company quality standardsOperating welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficientlyInspecting completed work for accuracy and weld qualitySupporting production targets while maintaining a high standard of workmanshipReporting any quality or production issues to the SupervisorWorking collaboratively with the fabrication team to meet deadlinesEnsuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times Requirements

As a MIG Welder, you will also be expected to:

Maintain a clean and organised work area at all timesCarry out routine maintenance and daily checks on equipmentHandle materials safely and responsiblyDemonstrate flexibility to support production requirements when neededMaintain excellent attendance and timekeeping
