Description

Are you ready to kick-start your career in project management and make a real difference in the energy sector? Join UK Power Networks as a Trainee Project Manager in our dynamic Major Connections team, based in Maidstone. We're offering a permanent position with a competitive salary of 54,166, plus a 3% bonus and an extensive benefits package designed to reward your hard work and dedication.

Imagine working at the heart of major projects, managing connections across the SPN area, and taking ownership of every aspect from initial enquiry to post-investment appraisal. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring successful pre and post contract management, consistently exceeding customer expectations. As you develop your skills, you will liaise with asset management to obtain connection information, produce compliant quotations, and collaborate with delivery partners throughout the design and programme phases to deliver innovative solutions for new connections. You'll also take responsibility for financial control, ensuring projects deliver planned gross margins, and support the delivery of major projects when required.

If you thrive on juggling competing demands and are passionate about customer satisfaction, we want to hear from you. The successful candidate will have a HNC in Electrical Engineering or similar, or significant experience in project management or distribution networks, with proven ability to prioritise multiple projects and confidence in using Microsoft Office tools. A commercial mindset and experience of Project Governance and Control processes would set you apart, but above all, we value a 'can do' attitude and customer focus. You'll liaise with marketing, finance, legal, regulatory and governance teams to deliver consistent strategies, and present with professionalism to external customers and senior management alike.

Don't miss the chance to energise your career with us. Apply before 04/12/2025 to take your first step towards becoming a key player in the future of UK Power Networks.
