Monday to Friday, Days (07:00-16:30)

Interaction Recruitment are supporting a long-established manufacturing business in their search for an experienced Toolmaker to join their busy Toolroom team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Toolmaker with experience of injection mould tooling to join a stable company investing heavily in its manufacturing operation. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining, repairing and improving tooling to support production and minimise downtime.

Servicing, maintaining and repairing injection mould toolsStripping, inspecting and rebuilding mould toolsDiagnosing tooling faults and carrying out corrective repairsManufacturing replacement tool components from drawingsOperating manual and CNC machinery where requiredPolishing cavities, cores and tooling surfacesSupporting production with tooling breakdowns and technical issuesCarrying out preventative maintenance activitiesAssisting with new tooling projects, modifications and improvementsMaintaining accurate tooling and maintenance records What We're Looking For Previous experience as a Toolmaker, Mould Toolmaker or Toolroom EngineerExperience working with injection mould toolsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsExperience using precision measuring equipmentStrong fault-finding and problem-solving skillsApprentice trained or time-served engineering background preferredAbility to work independently and as part of a team Desirable CNC milling or turning experienceEDM / Wire Erosion experienceCAD/CAM exposureKnowledge of hot runner systemsPlastic injection moulding industry experience If you're an experienced Toolmaker looking for a well-established employer offering excellent job security, a great working environment and interesting technical challenges, we'd like to hear from you.
