We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing business for a Tool Change Setter/Fitter to join their team in Blackburn. This company works with globally recognised brands to design and produce innovative, sustainable components for the vehicles and equipment of the future.

The Role This is a hands-on position where you will be responsible for carrying out efficient and safe tool changes across injection and blow moulding machinery, ensuring production runs smoothly and downtime is minimised.

Key Responsibilities Carry out tool changes in line with setting sheets and target timesPrepare and set up all required secondary equipmentAccurately complete all tool change documentationIdentify and report any faults with tools, dyes, or machinerySupport basic maintenance activities when requiredMaintain excellent housekeeping and health & safety standardsReturn tools and dyes to the toolroom after use Candidate Requirements FLT (Forklift Truck) licencePrevious experience within a manufacturing environmentExperience with tool and dye changes on injection and/or blow moulding machinesAbility to follow structured processes and meet deadlinesLifting and slinging experienceProactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvementStrong communication skillsWillingness to learn and develop What Success Looks Like Meeting or exceeding tool change target times without compromising safetySupporting reduced downtime and improved machine efficiencyMaintaining accurate and timely documentationBuilding strong knowledge of machinery and processesSupporting engineering with basic maintenance tasks Package & Benefits GBP35,000 GBP37,000 per annum (depending on experience)Private healthcare option34 days holidayFull Christmas & New Year shutdownEmployee Assistance ProgrammeCompany wellbeing initiatives and eventsOpportunities for training, development, and career progression
