Description

Get paid from the moment you leave your door, not from when you arrive on site.

You'll get a company van, and you're paid for every hour you work - including travel. On top of your basic rate, you'll earn time and a half on weekdays, time and a third on Saturdays, and time and a half on Sundays. Staying away overnight comes with extra pay, plus your dinner and breakfast covered.

You'll also get an annual bonus based on your performance and the company's, subsidised gym membership, and funded training - including ISPE, confined space training and CSCS.

The role

You'll mainly maintain commercial pools at health clubs, hotels, schools, leisure centres, hospitals and veterinary sites, with some domestic work too. Most jobs are between London and Manchester, and you'll be in the Leamington office from time to time. You'll take your turn on call-out, though most issues get sorted over the phone.

Day to day, you'll:

Carry out routine and preventative maintenance on pumps, filters, pipework and plant rooms across commercial and domestic pools Diagnose electrical and plumbing faults Test water and manage chemical dosing Install new pools and plant rooms Advise customers on completed work and keep documentation up to date What you'll need

Previous experience as a pool engineer - or a background in electrical engineering or plumbing and an interest in a career change Strong communication skills for dealing with customers professionally Flexibility to work away occasionally (it won't be often) Hours and pay

Basic 42.5-hour week, generally starting at 7:30am. You'll receive a payment for on-call weekends, plus overtime where needed.
