This is an excellent opportunity to join my client, a well-established, close-knit Multidisciplinary Consultancy, renowned for lending their skills and expertise to a variety of projects across the transport planning, infrastructure, and water sectors. They are on the lookout for a willing, skilled SuDS Designer, who is willing to take on a number of challenging projects across the local region. You will be based near the historic, picturesque market town of Ware.

Responsibilities for the role of SuDS Designer include:

Producing detailed Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) designs for a variety of projects, especially new residential developmentsContributing to planning applications and construction phasesDeveloping a range of sustainable drainage and infrastructure solutions across the local regionCollaborating with a team of experts in the field, contributing to a range of exciting projects

Required skills and experience for the role of SuDS Designer include:

A UK Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, or a similar, relevant disciplineExtensive experience of SuDS and wider Civil Engineering design, particularly for residential projects and new developmentsOutstanding working knowledge of the relevant software systems, including AutoCAD, Causeway Flow, InfoDrainage/MicroDrainage, Civils 3D, etc.Demonstrable experience of producing detailed designs in support of planning applications and at varying stages of constructionCompetent understanding of the relevant Section Agreements (e.g., S104, S38, etc.)Good working knowledge of flood risk and mitigation, including Flood Risk Assessments, etc.

Desirable skills and experience for the role of SuDS Designer include:

A Higher Degree in Civil Engineering, or another relevant disciplinePossess Chartered Status with a relevant Professional Body (e.g., ICE, CIWEM, etc.), or actively working to attain thisHold a full, valid UK Driving Licence
