Build Maintain Recruit Ltd is working with leading engineering company with offices across the UK. We are seeking a Senior Fa ade Engineer delivering fa ade design across sectors including education, stadia, transport, residential and commercial. You will play a key role managing fa ade engineering projects from concept through to detailed design and construction monitoring.

The ideal candidate will be technically strong, commercially aware and passionate about fa ade engineering, with experience leading projects and mentoring junior engineers. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their leadership and technical capability within a dynamic engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

Execute and coordinate fa ade engineering projects to a high technical standard

Prepare design information including drawings, calculations, specifications and reports

Review and approve design outputs in line with quality procedures

Manage feasibility studies and technical reports

Undertake structural surveys and produce professional reports

Lead project management and financial control on small and medium–sized projects

Build strong relationships with clients, local authorities and project teams

Supervise use of engineering software and systems

Mentor and supervise junior engineers and CAD technicians

Support business development activity, bids and proposals

Ensure compliance with ISO 19650 and CDM regulations

Coordinate sub–contractors and external suppliers

Attend and contribute to design and site meetings

Manage design deliverables including TIDPs, Suitability Codes and SMP compliance

Identify and communicate project risks

Promote best practice standards and continuous improvement

Key Skills & Qualifications

Essential

HND/HNC in Civil or Structural Engineering

Strong understanding of structural engineering and fa ade physics

Proficient in structural design (steel, stainless steel, aluminium, timber and glass)

Experience using structural analysis software

Strong project coordination and time management skills

Experience delegating and mentoring junior team members

Knowledge of Eurocodes/British Standards

Understanding of complex construction methods

Good working knowledge of CDM regulations

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work within ISO 19650 processes

Desirable

Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

ICE or IStructE professional membership

Experience with SCIA Engineer and Tekla Building Designer
