Industrial Electrician

Permanent Position GBP23.00 per hour + Overtime UK Site Travel

Ion-Tec Recruitment is seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician for a permanent position offering competitive pay, regular overtime and an excellent benefits package.

The successful candidate will join an experienced team carrying out electrical installation work across a range of industrial and manufacturing sites.

Working from technical drawings, construction plans and site-specific requirements, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical installations that meet relevant British Standards and current regulations

This is a hands-on, site-based role suited to an electrician with strong technical knowledge, excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of health and safety.

Carry out electrical installation work in accordance with technical drawings, electrical schematics and construction plans.

Install cable containment, cabling and associated electrical components to the required standards.

Ensure all electrical installations comply with current British Standards and applicable regulations.

Follow Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), site safety procedures and permit-to-work requirements.

18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

City & Guilds electrical qualifications and NVQ Level 3 very desirable.

ECS Gold Card.

Experience within industrial or manufacturing environments, such as chemical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, water or heavy industry.

Knowledge of British Electrical Standards and safe installation practices.

The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.

A good understanding of RAMS, permits and site safety requirements.

Full UK driving licence.

Able to work independently and as part of an installation team.

Good communication skills and a professional attitude.

Flexible and willing to travel and work away from home when required.

Basic rate: GBP23.00 per hour for the first 39 hours.Overtime: GBP34.50 per hour (time and a half) after 39 hours.

Current working pattern typically involves 12-hour shifts Monday to Thursday and 7 hours on Friday.Overnight accommodation arranged when working away.

Overnight allowances plus 25 days annual holiday plus bank holidays, increasing to 28 days plus bank holidays over three years.6% employer pension contribution.
