Location: Skelmersdale

Salary: GBP40,000 GBP45,000 per annum (DOE, inclusive of shift allowance)

Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts 6:00am 2:00pm and 2:00pm 10:00pm

Overview:

We are currently recruiting a Shift Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing site in Skelmersdale. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment to ensure efficient operations and minimal downtime.

This role would suit someone with experience in both electrical and mechanical maintenance, although candidates with a bias in either discipline will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on site machinery

Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults

Support production teams to minimise downtime

Maintain accurate maintenance and service records

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Ensure all work is carried out in line with health and safety procedures

Equipment on Site Includes:

Conveyors

Printers

Glue stations

Folders and feeders

Wrappers and labellers

Mailing machines

Most machinery operates in a fast-paced, high-accuracy production environment. Training will be provided where required.

Requirements:

Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance and fault finding

NVQ Level 3 (preferred)

Experience within a manufacturing or production environment beneficial

Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced setting

Driving licence preferred but not essential

Occasional travel to the Macclesfield site may be required

Overtime available during busy periods

Time and a half Monday Saturday

Double time on Sundays
