Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer (Nights)

Salary: 61,000

Shift Pattern: 7 shifts in 14, nights only (similar to a Panama pattern)

Commutable from: Peterborough, Stamford, Spalding, March, Huntingdon, Wisbech, Corby, etc.

Our client is a well-established food manufacturing business based in Peterborough, supplying major retailers across the UK. Due to continued growth, they're looking to add a Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer to their night team, on an excellent shift pattern that gives you more family time than a standard rotation.

The Role

Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across high-speed production and packaging equipment

Fault find and repair electrical and mechanical breakdowns to minimise downtime

Work a night shift pattern of 7 shifts in 14 (similar to a Panama pattern), with 7 off in return

Work closely with production to support continuous improvement across the site

Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure work is completed in line with food safety standards

What We're Looking For

A recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent apprenticeship)

Multi-skilled background - electrical or mechanical bias considered, but competent across both

Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, or a similarly fast-paced production environment

Happy working permanent nights on a 7 in 14 shift pattern

A proactive, hands-on approach with strong fault-finding skills
