Senior Sustainability Consultant

They are looking to hire a knowledgeable and motivated Senior Sustainability Consultant to play a key role within their expanding specialist team!

A formal qualification in sustainability, environmental management or a built-environment disciplineSignificant relevant experience in sustainability consultancyStrong track record of delivering environmental assessments including BREEAM, LEED, Ska and/or WELLIn-depth understanding of environmental policy, sustainability legislation and best practiceExperience leading or managing sustainability workstreams within design teamsProficiency with life cycle analysis tools such as OneClick LCAExperience delivering net zero carbon, circularity and embodied carbon assessmentsStrong technical writing abilities, including complex reports and planning documentationExcellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholdersAbility to mentor and support junior team membersExceptional organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyDuties and responsibilities:

You will have the opportunity to lead on a broad portfolio of high-profile projects across workplace, healthcare, education, cultural, heritage, leisure and residential sectors. Responsibilities include:

Leading the development of sustainability strategies and frameworksOverseeing net zero carbon assessments (operational and embodied)Managing lifecycle and circularity assessmentsLeading environmental and wellbeing assessments including BREEAM, LEED, Ska and WELLGuiding planning documentation such as Sustainability and Energy StatementsSupporting NABERS, post-occupancy evaluation and building optimisationProviding ESG-related consultancyAdvising design teams to influence proposals and champion low-impact, healthy, future-ready solutionsSupporting business development, thought leadership and internal upskilling initiativesContributing to the company's sustainability strategy and internal environmental managementThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who is passionate about sustainability, enjoys working collaboratively, and is motivated to drive meaningful change across the built environment.
